Everything you need to know before the first day โ€” who can come and what to bring.

Who can join

Age & swimmer requirements

    Ages 6 and up
    Kids Camp ages 6โ€“11 ยท Teen Camp ages 12+ ยท Half Day Camp ages 6+
  • โœ“
    Must be an independent swimmer
    Campers must be able to swim on their own in open water. Instructors are in the water with students at all times, but independent swimming is required for safety.

What to bring each day

  • ๐Ÿฑ
    Food, snacks & electrolyte fluids
    Pack enough food and snacks for the day. Electrolyte drinks (not just water) are strongly recommended โ€” it's hot and active out there.
  • โ˜€๏ธ
    Sunblock โ€” 10%+ zinc oxide
    Use mineral sunscreen with at least 10% zinc oxide. Apply before drop-off and bring extra to reapply during the day.
  • ๐Ÿฉด
    Flip flops or sandals
    Easy on/off footwear for getting to and from the beach.
  • ๐Ÿงƒ
    Insulated drink containers
    An insulated bottle or thermos keeps drinks cold in the Florida heat. Bring at least one, ideally two.
  • ๐Ÿ–๏ธ
    Towel
    A beach towel for drying off between sessions.

Surfboards & equipment

All surfboards and water safety equipment are provided by Aloha Surf Camp. Rash guards are available for purchase on premises. Just show up ready to surf.
